Abstract (English)

Liang's interpretation of MacKenzie's "Lost River" and "Saskatchewan" series of paintings focuses on issues concerning cultural identity and place. He suggests the works deconstruct historical notions of the North and demythologize received ideas about the Canadian landscape. Biographical notes. 31 bibl. ref.
