Abstract (English)

Garvey notes the ambiguity in the multidisciplinary work of the Nova Scotia artist, and attempts at an interpretation of her repertoire of motifs culled from various sources: mythology, feminist discourse, traditional women's fibrework, etc. M. O'Brien demonstrates the role of the textile medium in this scathing practice on the borders of craft and art, the profane and the sacred.
