Abstract (English)

Sallis' philosophical reflections on the recent photographs and sculptural installations by Kipps foreground the radical difference between image and stone. The author also discusses concepts of originality, voice, and silence. Fleming situates the artist's photographs of gates and estate walls within the contexts of the 18th century landscape tradition, pastoralism and strategies of subversion/displacement. 5 bibl. ref.
