Abstract (English)

Catalogue to accompany a group exhibition comprised of works by 11 artists from Ottawa and Hull who offer different artistic responses to the theme of the body. Dyck’s interpretation of the artists’ works – drawings, prints, photographs, digital media, sculptures and installations – focuses on the role of corporeality in the construction of identity. Psychic, physical and social aspects of the body are addressed, as well as issues of gender, pain and mortality. Includes list of works. Brief biographical notes on artists. 130 bibl. ref.
