Abstract (English)

Catalogue to accompany a retrospective exhibition of works by Lindoe, whose lifelong devotion to the clay industry led to the creation of the first commercial ceramics studio in Alberta. Graff’s interpretation of the artist’s work – paintings, sculptures and ceramics – focuses on the theme of the land (the Southern Albertan prairies). The author also describes Lindoe’s commissioned works, and calls attention to how they contributed to high standards in Albertan public art. Biographical notes. 14 bibl. ref.
