Abstract (English)This flipbook documenting two mixed media sculptures by Miller – “Simple Experiments in Aerodynamics 7 (Jump)” and “Simple Experiments in Aerodynamics 6 (Escape Velocity)” – contains previously published essays by Baerwaldt and Samuel. Baerwaldt’s descriptive analysis of selected works by Miller focuses on themes of loss, loneliness and uncertainty. Emphasis is placed on filmic and experiential aspects of pieces from the artist’s “Imbalance” series. Samuel suggests the artist’s interactive sculptural installations foreground the reciprocal relationship between humans and their technological creations.
