Abstract (English)

Catalogue for an exhibition of Van Snick’s paintings, wall works and sculptures created between 1974-1999. Klepac’s detailed descriptions of the “Toronto Asymmetric Orange” installation and previous works by the artist, foreground the use of standard colours, basic geometric forms and a conceptual structure based on the duality of “Day/Night” (light and dark). Emphasis is placed on the experiential aspects of Von Snick’s wall installations, especially the viewer’s subjective experience of space, time and colour. Includes floor plan of the gallery. List of works. Biographical notes on inside flaps of the cover. 18 bibl. ref.
