Abstract (English)

A large-format publication to accompany an exhibition of works by New Brunswick-based artists L. Bartlett and A. Flood. Murchie’s interpretation of Flood’s paintings (based on images of jewellery projected on TV) and Bartlett’s sculptural installations/performances (incorporating highly decorated cake-like objects) calls attention to issues of surface and superficiality. He also suggests Bartlett and Flood provide a feminist critique of patriarchal culture. List of works. Biographical notes. 3 bibl. ref.
