Abstract (English)

As Fischer notes in her essay for “33 Pieces,” Belmore’s work is rooted in the artist’s ongoing personal/political interests as an individual of Anishinabe descent. Describing the show as a performative survey of Belmore’s career, Fischer demonstrates how the artist’s previous work formed an invisible backbone for the work created on site during the exhibition. Tuer considers the work in relation to notions of the Canadian landscape. List of works. Bio-bibliography 4 p. 4 bibl. ref.
