Abstract (English)

As Fischer notes in her essay for “33 Pieces,” Belmore’s work is rooted in the artist’s ongoing personal/political interests as an individual of Anishinabe descent. Describing the show as a performative survey of Belmore’s career, Fischer demonstrates how the artist’s previous work formed an invisible backbone for the work created on site during the exhibition.
