Abstract (English)

Kiendl’s exhibition of installations, photographs of miniatures, toys, and models by eleven different artists follows the work of Gianni Vattimo and rethinks the legacy of modernism, leading away from positivism towards a study of meaning based on rhetoric, aesthetics, and the imagination. A story by Begamudré and a text by Randolph on Freud’s statuettes contribute to the playful tone. Includes list of works. List of illustrations. Bibliography 2 p. Biographical notes. 41 bibl. ref.
