Abstract (English)

This publication briefly presents the work of five artists who took part in a residency (summer of 2000) that focused on in situ practices in relation to the landscape of the Saint-Jean-Port-Joli region. Michel and Lafortune examine how the artists, whose work usually range from video to installation, resorted for this project to photography and its different uses (trace, document, art work). Texts in French and English. Brief biographical notes.

Brève présentation du travail des cinq artistes ayant participé à un projet de résidence (été 2000) qui favorisait les pratiques in situ en relation avec le paysage de la région de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. Michel et Lafortune soulignent comment les artistes, qui pratiquent à l’origine des disciplines telles que la vidéo et l’installation, se sont appropriés pour l’occasion le médium photographique et ses différents usages (trace, document ou œuvre).
