Abstract (English)

As Hébert notes, this exhibition acknowledges the contribution that Hardy, a mid-career artist, has made to Saskatchewan and Canadian art. Moppett’s essay traces the development of Hardy’s œuvre and cites the discernible influences in his work. For Moppett, the physical markings of the painter’s landscapes provide an entrance to the spiritual. Bio-bibliography 2 p.
