Abstract (English)

Salzman's essay foregrounds Welsh artists Huws' sensitivity to language, culture and place as they relate to identity. Through experiential descriptions of her sculpture, watercolours and language pieces, he focuses on the elemental, sensorial and conceptual qualities of her work. For Huws, art can be a way of reflecting on human relations. 2 bibl. ref.
