Abstract (English)

"The occasion for this book about the 'Amerika' series of paintings by Tim Rollins + K.O.S. is the exhibition of the thirteen large-scale paintings in the series at the Dia Art Foundation, 548 West 22nd Street, New York, from October 13. 1989 to June 17, 1990. The exhibition also includes study drawings for Amerika XII and in addition, a new large-scale work based on Schubert's Winterreisse (1989)." -- p. 7
