Abstract (English)

This is a nearly complete survey of the artist's work since she moved to Toronto in 1981 until 1986. Starting with "Dorothy - A Ressemblance" (a piece begun in Vancouver in 1980), Monk undertakes a discussion of themes in Magor's work: personal identity, narrative intention and detachment, resemblance and representation. His comprehensive essay describes each of the exhibition's six pieces in detail. Biographical notes. 40 bibl. ref.
