Abstract (English)

Six artists from Southern Alberta are united here both by the techniques of tracing, collage, montage and appropriation inherent in their own practice and by Augaitis' desire to engage them in a dialogue of international scope. Haraldsson's essay traces the mechanics of collage from cubism through Duchamp and Benjamin to Baudrillard and Deleuze. Augaitis goes on to develop these ideas in relation to the works in question.
