Abstract (English)

Guest provides a history of the artist's book, linking its development to the dematerialization of the art object. Includes a new translation of Celant's 1981 essay "Book as Artwork: 1960/1972" as well as descriptions of the 59 books in exhibition. With an index of artists' names.
