Abstract (English)

Analysing Campbell's installation, Hurtig identifies the artist's critique of patriarchal hegemony as manifested in the construction and representation of gender, and her investigation of the coverage of the December 6th 1989 murder of 14 women by Marc Lépine. Zapf expands on these themes, and discusses the importance of a conceptually based feminist art practice. Biographical notes. 45 bibl. ref.
