Abstract (English)

Inspired by a trip to Greenland, Berteig's arctic landscapes incorporate his concern with acrylic colour and surface, with a more emphatic spiritual metaphor than that found in his earlier non-representational work. His use of the iceberg motif is compared to Lawren Harris's.
