Abstract (English)

On the occasion of an exhibition celebrating Henry Moore (1898-1986) and the 893 Moore sculptures, drawings, and prints comprised in the permanent collection of the Art Gallery of Ontario, Wilkinson discusses the artist's history with Toronto and how he came to donate these works to the AGO. Moore's life is traced from early chilhood, examining the artist's influences, themes, and concerns. Includes notes on 199 works. Biographical notes. 14 bibl. ref.
