Abstract (English)

Photographer Phillips' and sociologist Lorimer's 1967-1968 research project provides an intimate portrait of a downtown Toronto predominantly Anglo-Saxon low-income neighbourhood in the first stages of urban renewal. The area, its inhabitants and the authors' experience of the community are fully documented.
