Abstract (English)

For an exhibition presenting an overview of Gerz's performances, public pieces, photo/texts and installations (1968-1994), Dufour examines the artist's strategies and interest in challenging notions of authority and truth inherent in modes and systems of information. In a discussion of early work, Nasgaard highlights elements of comic vision. Biographical notes. 68 bibl. ref.
