Abstract (English)

Excerpts from a series of letters between Lang and the artist reveal Pike's intentions, while Allison, through an analysis of the artist's painting of "bedrooms," examines the personal, social, and feminist implications of the theme. Includes extracts from a variety of texts on such subjects as feminity, sexuality, and patchwork quilts. Brief biographical notes.
