Abstract (English)

While curator Wylie analyses 32 prints created at the Open Studio between 1986 and 1990, Genereux addresses the emergence of the "multiple" as an individual work of art and recounts cases of "artist's resistance to the standard procedures of printmaking." Through a detailed discussion of the Open Studio Archive, Stacey investigates the centre's "raison d'être". 14 bibl. ref.
