Abstract (English)

A two volume catalogue attesting to German art and culture of the 1980s. Noting the influence of Beuys, Blanchette discusses the metaphoric aspect of German visual arts. Includes an interview with independent curator Kasper König, and extensive essays on works by 44 artists, as well as on German video, dance-theatre, theatre, performance, music and cinema.
