Abstract (English)

Gagnon's interpretation of Davies' immersive virtual installation "Éphémère", examines relationships between art and technology in light of the Dionysian and Appollonian characteristics of digital media. Tuer's description of the work shows how the boundaries between nature and culture become blurred as a result of the viewer's interaction with mimetic images and the "enclosure of the self in a simulacrum." Biographical notes. 68 bibl. ref.
