This collection of essays by six artists marks the 20th anniversary of Video In (a Vancouver-based artist-run centre). The following subjects are considered in relation to video works produced in Vancouver since the 1970s: the “contested relations” between Video In and dominant institutions; issues of conservation, censorship and television access; the role of computer technology; and feminist video produced since 1990.
