Abstract (English)

The 2000 edition of a yearly publication by Video Pool, a Winnipeg-based artist-run centre dedicated to video production and distribution. It contains essays by: R. Fisher (on the impact of new technologies); J. Lion (on a video series/publication entitled Magnetic North); A. Golden (on a “Queer City Cinema 2000” panel discussion); and E. MacPherson (on the relationship between video art and the film industry). S. Heimbecker provides an overview of the “send + receive” 1999 sound festival, which is followed by two interviews (N. Gingras with the Æ collective, and G. Redpath with D. Burgoyne). Also includes the Moscam artists’ project by J. Loewen, B. George and D. Rice.
