Abstract (English)

In his essay on the landscape and still life paintings of Dupuis, Zepp refers to the nine large-scale pieces exhibited in Regina and Vancouver as “spiritual abstractions,” and suggests the artist’s exploration of the duality between representation and abstraction contributes to the transcendence of emotion. The author also traces the evolution of Dupuis’ work. Biographical notes. 8 bibl. ref.
