Abstract (English)

This catalogue documents an exhibition of mixed media works (rubbings, photographs, paintings and sculptures) that are part of Toulouse-Shingwaak and Beam’s ongoing collaborative project based on road trips across North America. In her essay, Todd compares the artists’ practice to that of making medicine, while calling attention to how their works reveal philosophies of history based on Aboriginal ways of life.
