Abstract (English)

Discussing the terms "Nation state", "national art" and "national identity", Fenton outlines the process of progress in Canadian painting through national and international styles and argues that there is a new nationalist and pictural art in Cnanda. Fisher, Sutton, Curnoe, and Molinari discuss the nature of painting.
