Abstract (English)

Catalogue published to accompany an exhibition composed of 77 photographs by 13 members of the Atomic Photographers Guild, an international collective of more than 20 photographers committed to documenting the on-going nuclear activity of the post “mushroom cloud” atomic era. Fitzpatrick suggests the works in the exhibition counter the invisibility of nuclear culture by bearing witness to the devastating effects of the atomic industry. Numerous references are made to Del Tredici’s book “At Work in the Fields of the Bomb.” Brief biographical notes on artists. 14 bibl. ref.
