Abstract (English)

Publication accompanying Newdick’s exhibition of photographic triptychs based on images of her body cropped between mid-thigh and elbow. Holubizky situates the triptychs within the context of photo-based projects by other artists dealing with photography and movement. Gibson’s interpretation of the works relies heavily on R. Krauss’s theories on Surrealism and the indexical nature of photography. List of works. Brief biographical notes. 21 bibl. ref.
