Abstract (English)

Publication documenting a project organized by Atelier Fovea for the Mois de la Photo, where thirteen photo artists created site-specific works in and around businesses located in a central Montreal neighbourhood. Author Babin summarizes the overall concept of the exhibition, highlighting the web of community ties in the neighbourhood – including the role of small businesses – and comments on each of the artist’s projects. Text in French and English.

Publication documentant un projet organisé par l’Atelier Fovea dans le cadre du Mois de la Photo à Montréal, où 13 artistes présentaient leurs interventions photographiques in situ dans les commerces d’un quartier central de Montréal. Babin résume le concept global de l’exposition en insistant sur les liens créés avec la communauté et sur le rôle des petits commerçants. L’auteure commente aussi chaque intervention d’artiste.
