Abstract (English)

This catalogue for concurrent exhibitions at the Power Plant and Oakville Galleries surveys the career of Kim Adams, a sculptor working with everyday objects, toys, vehicles and shelters. Pospiszyl proposes a vocabulary for the work, while Fleming writes at length about Adams’ “Bruegel-Bosch Bus” and its relation to the Renaissance and contemporary carnival.
