Abstract (English)

This catalogue for the establishment of the NSCAD Archive contributes to the documentation of the school’s history. Pearse provides an historical sketch of the school, its mandates under its various directorships, and an account of its sources of funding. Barlofsky describes his own experience at the school. Designed by former and current faculty and alumi, the wallpaper conceived for this project and exhibition underscores the relationship between patronage and the arts.
