Abstract (English)

Long argues that Lannoo's paintings have a visual language that, inspired by Braille, conflates abstraction and signification. The author compares the interpretation of the paintings to a toy he played with as a child: a wooden labyrinth whose slick surface proved difficult to navigate. List of works. Biographical notes.
