Abstract (English)

In this catalogue for an exhibition of paintings by Haeseker and Hall, Rochfort’s essay describes the collaborative process of the artists and compares them to other traditions of collective creativity, such as in filmmaking, or more historically, the guilds. He also relates them to the collaborative endeavours of Pre-Columbian civilisations, and by extension, the ancient and contemporary Mexican culture that the artists take as their subject matter. List of works. Biographical notes.
