Abstract (English)

This catalogue refers to an exhibition organized for Le Mois de la photo in Paris, whose theme was “Picturing Women”. Curators Langford and Bédard emphasize how both Bancroft and Readman provide a distinctly feminine perspective on landscape – one in terms of family lineage and, the other, in terms of reappropriating territory and the notion of displacement.
