Abstract (English)

Hollenberg’s essay, for an exhibition of young NSCAD alumni and students, argues that this new generation of artists both appropriates and challenges the cultural authority of established art. The 11 artists in the exhibition, writes Hollenberg, use diverse media to investigate value in an age of “new sincerity.” List of works. Biographical notes. 2 bibl. ref.
