Celebrating the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s collection of contemporary Native art, this booklet is from an exhibition that was organised in honour of the 2002 North American Indigenous Games held in the city. Through works selected from the exhibition, Mattes provides a brief overview of the major figures and significant changes in the history of First Nations art making in the past 40 years.
