Abstract (English)

Farrell emphasises the act of witnessing in Applebaum’s minimalist photographs and installation, which evoke the Holocaust and the Western wall. In her reading of Applebaum’s work, she stresses the condition of receptivity that opens the self to all of its influences – historical, societal, familial – while maintaining a continuum through all of its states. 12 bibl. ref.
