Abstract (English)

"The artist's recent sculptural works in "Incognito" resemble objects from the domestic sphere : chess pieces, bottle stoppers, shovels and faucets. Wall-mounted and masked behind a veil of synthetic stretch fabric, these emergent forms quote the known yet elude classification. Shaped by material pulled taut over brief armatures, Carter's "empty sleeves" hover between solid and void." -- page 1.
