Abstract (English)

"Fariba Samsami's multimedia installation presents a multiple projection installation featuring scenes from Canada and Iran. Scenes will be projected on the wall of the LAB, and with a touch screen computer, viewers can select a scene and specific person. Once they have made their selection the viewer can then insert their own image into the scene via the camera installed at the back of the room. Viewers are invited to explore notions of cultural identity through their interaction with neighbouring viewers by gesturing or conversing in English, French or Farsi." -- Publisher's website.
