Abstract (English)

"From the series “Activating the Archive”, in which selections from Art Metropole’s archive of videotapes were made by artists, critics and curators on a particular topic or theme. This publication folds out much like a map and acts as a written documentation of the event wherein writer, director, performer and teacher Paulette Phillips spoke on the work of Canadian video artist Jane Wright. Phillips takes the approach of viewing Wright’s work from the inside out and how the artist’s life is utilized in her work." -- Publisher's website.
