Abstract (English)

This collection of sculptures by artists from the Keewatin region in the Northwest Territories makes evident the remarkable simplicity of the pieces. Zepp describes the existing state of confusion concerning Inuit contemporary art, stressing the problems caused by acculturation and the creation of a new Northern industry oriented towards the Southern markets.
