Abstract (English)

Calgary artist Schmid Esler produces ceramic works which range from whimsical dish-reproductions to Cornell-influenced sculptural works. Greenfield traces her evolution from her background in Winnipeg through her assemblage work with bird maquettes to the more recent constructions, which convey the urban destruction and desintegration she witnessed in the Middle East.
