Abstract (English)

"The Dead examines the ways in which photographers and artists explore ideas of mortality and, poses important questions about the taboos which surround the picturing of death in the late 20th century. The exhibition features twenty eight artists and collections from the USA, Europe and Japan and shows work ranging from early memorial photography to Donigan Cumming's new and challenging video piece A Preyer for Nettie.
