Abstract (English)

The catalogue documents two streams of work by Stamp: the Gladys M. Johnston series photomechanically reproduces and manipulates paintings and drawings by an earlier naive artist from British Columbia, while the larger plexiglas constructions incorporate image and language into an integrated Cartesian grid. Grenville discusses the functioning of both in relation to each other. Biographical notes. 11 bibl. ref.
