Abstract (English)

"Jasmine Reimer, currently based in Guelph, explores a fascination with found household objets, perfectionism, and material culture. In order to deflate prescriptive approaches to interior design and its denotation of high/low class structures, Reimer fuses everyday objects with fabricated raw materials to refuse their functionality and their aesthetic, creating an evocative mixture of the familiar and the grotesque.." -- Publisher's website.
